Congratulations to Ms. Jordan! She was recently awarded the Crystal Apple Award by Craig Harvey from Horace Mann insurance. Ms. Jordan is one of our amazing 2nd grade teachers and she is well loved by her students, parents, and the faculty and staff. For Red Ribbon Week, we learned about keeping our bodies healthy. A wonderful parent volunteer came into our class and taught us how to add more fruits and vegetables into our meals. We learned what to eat to be kind to our bodies and brains. We also did a little activity with exercise. The best part of the lesson was shopping in our classroom! They got to pick healthy foods, fun outside toys, a recreation pass, waterbottle, and sunglasses. This amazing Maple Ridge parent got donations from many local businesses and the kids loved the lesson.
