Mrs. Kruse's 5th grade class theme is, "Our Class Swims Together". They are learning to get along with all students in their class, not just their good buddies. In these pictures they were working as a team to stack cups without using their hands!

Heidi Whittaker works for the Utah Parent Center as a Parent Consultant and is contracted specifically with Nebo School District to provide free assistance/resources to parents who have children with special needs in Nebo School District.  She also helps parents who suspect their child may have special needs. Heidi's role in Nebo is to help facilitate communication and assist parents in understanding options and resources, which may include the IEP/504 process and Special Education Law.   

We are so excited for our first day of school on Wednesday, August 14th!  K-5th grade will join us and school begins at 9:15 AM.  Please help students to have a meeting spot and know if they are having a school or home lunch.  See you soon!

Our Maple Ridge PTA does so much for our school! They run many programs that enhance our students' opportunities to learn and grow including running the school carnival, holding book fairs, Red Ribbon Week, Teacher Appreciation Week, and so much more. Their efforts raise money for technology and other items the school needs. Even if you can't volunteer to be on a committee, just becoming a member helps!

Follow the directions in the attached infographic to see class assignments on Monday, August 5.  As you know, information about students or special needs was requested to be received at the beginning of June so that we could use information from teachers as well to make our best and balanced classrooms.

We are excited to have added so many new teachers and for you to meet them!  We are looking forward to a great year and hope you are getting ready to visit us at the Open House on August 13th!
