Second graders have started their matter rotations! Each week, they get to visit a different second grade classroom to do different experiments in order to learn about the states of matter, how they change, and how matter functions. 

Heidi Whittaker works for the Utah Parent Center as a Parent Consultant and is contracted specifically with Nebo School District to provide free assistance/resources to parents who have children with special needs in Nebo School District.  She also helps parents who suspect their child may have special needs. Heidi's role in Nebo is to help facilitate communication and assist parents in understanding options and resources, which may include the IEP/504 process and Special Education Law.   

Love and Logic is an incredible resource for parents to get practical advice for coping with their student's attitudes and behavior. It's an effective program but also fun! See the flyer for more details.

Over the past two weeks Maple Ridge kindergartners have been learning all about how to be at school! They have been practicing following school rules, walking in the hallway, and eating in the lunchroom. To celebrate all they have learned, Mrs. Richardson's class read the story King of Kindergarten and decorated crowns to show they are kings and queens of kindergarten!
