In science, Mrs. Schellenberg's class was learning how animals process information in their brains. They watched a video of a mouse that learned, after many attempts, how to move through a maze to find its food. Students learned that the mouse took a long time making its way through the maze while it was learning. However, the mouse was able to get through the maze easier and faster each time by lots of repetition, making memories and not giving up.
Mrs. Olson's 4th grade class started off the year learning about teamwork and cooperation. The students worked together to create popsicle bridges that held the most weight and looked nice. It was great to see the creativity and collaboration!
We look forward to meeting with all parents during our first conference of the 2023-2024 school year. This is a great opportunity to discuss student strengths and weaknesses, to set goals, and to ask clarifying questions about classroom work and activities. If you are unable to attend during the available conference times, please email your student's teacher individually to try to coordinate a time that will work for both of you. Please select the link for your child's class to choose a time to meet from the available schedule.
