When: Thursday, September 14th 5:00 - 7:30pm
Where: Maple Ridge Elementary School
What: The school carnival is the ONLY fundraiser the PTA holds for the year. It funds all of the PTA activities and programs and enables us to donate directly to our school. In the past, money raised by the PTA has been used to purchase Chromebooks, art supplies, and to organize activities for the students and staff. The carnival has food, games, bounce houses, a train, face painting, visits from our local police and fire department, and the chance to flush your teacher with water. You don't want to miss it!
Who: Everyone in your family can attend! Wristbands are sold for children that will participate in carnival games and bounce houses. 2 years and under are free!
Food: Purchase $5 or $10 punch cards for food items like pizza, pulled pork sandwiches, hotdogs, cotton candy, popcorn, nachos, and drinks. The Zeppe’s food truck and Zapplz stand can only accept Cash/Credit.
Where to Buy: Food punch cards and discounted wristbands will be sold before and after school September 12th, 13th, and 14th. Full price wristbands and punch cards will be sold at the carnival. The PTA will accept cash, credit card, or check for purchases. Make checks payable to Maple Ridge PTA.
Zapplz Apples: The Zapplz Candy Apple pre-order form was sent home last week, and will be sent home again this week. Pre-order forms are due the morning of Wednesday, 9/13. A limited variety of apples will also be available for purchase at the carnival.
Basket Auction: Each class assembles a themed basket to be sold in a silent auction during the carnival. Please contact your student's room parent for information about the theme and donations. There will be more than 40 baskets, ranging in size and prize. The basket auction will run from 5:00 - 6:45pm. Winners will be announced at 7:00pm If you own or work for a business that would like to become a sponsor by donating goods or services for our auction, it would be much appreciated! We are excited to recognize all of our generous donors on our Sponsor banner.
Volunteers: Many volunteers are needed to run the carnival. Please contact your room parent for volunteer opportunities! Volunteers can be 12 years old and up. We need 100+ volunteers throughout the night. PLEASE SIGN UP TO HELP!
