Kindi 500

On Friday, March 23rd, Kindergarten students at Maple Ridge donned their homemade race cars for the Kindi 500. The students learned about different places around the country while having fun at the same time. Many were impressed with how elaborate the costumes were.   The kindergarten students were able to show off their amazing works of art in a parade throughout the school.  Students in other grades, as well as parents, clapped and cheered as they passed by.

Fiesta Days Reading Challenge

On Wednesday, March 21st, representatives with the Spanish Fork Fiesta Days Rodeo visited the students to issue them a reading challenge.  During the month of April, students will keep track of their reading minutes, and prizes will be awarded to the top readers in the school.  The winners will receive a pair of Wranglers, boots, a cowboy hat, and two tickets to the Fiesta Days Rodeo.  During the assembly, students learned about how a rodeo works, and about what the participants in the rodeo do.  Some teachers and students were even invited to participate in a mock barre

Maple Ridge PTA Honors

Maple Ridge PTA recently won 3 awards from Region 10: Men Engaged, since we have amazing support from dads in our PTA, 100% Teacher/Staff Membership, due to all our teachers being members of our PTA and also an award for our fantastic 2017-2018 membership campaign. Great things are happening in the Maple Ridge PTA.  Thank you to all our PTA members, teachers and staff for your continued support!!

Wax Museum

On Thursday, March 15th, fifth grade students dressed as an influential person in American history as part of the annual Wax Museum.  Each student researched their person, and came prepared with a short monologue about their life.  

Kindergarten Pre-Registration

Mark your calendars: Kindergarten pre-registration will be held on Thursday, March 22nd from 8:00 - 4:00. More information will be coming soon about what to do online and what documents to bring into the school that day. Please let friends and neighbors know...especially those with their upcoming Kindergarten student as their oldest child.

Vanessa Schmidt is Maple Ridge Teacher of the Year

Recently, Vanessa Schmidt was nominated as our Teacher of the Year at Maple Ridge Elementary.  Mrs. Schmidt is our special education teacher here, and works with dozens of students.  She is very conscientious about making sure each student is successful, and goes above and beyond to help them be successful.  Not only is Mrs. Schmidt a wonderful teacher, but her colleagues feel that she is always positive and willing to work with different schedules and grade levels.  We love Mrs. Schmidt!
