Parent Teacher Conferences

We look forward to meeting with all parents during our first conference of the 2022-2023 school year.  This is a great opportunity to discuss student strengths and weaknesses, to set goals, and to ask clarifying questions about classroom work and activities.  If you are unable to attend during the available conference times, please email your student's teacher individually to try to coordinate a time that will work for both of you.

Fourth Grade Science

Submitted by becky.manning on Mon, 10/03/2022 - 18:02

Maple Ridge fourth grade students have recently been learning about internal and external structures during their science time. As part of their studies they participated in a STEM activity where each group had to build a strong, sturdy structure using spaghetti noodles and marshmallows that could withstand a wind test! We love science!

First Grade Rowley's Red Barn Field Trip

Submitted by becky.manning on Mon, 09/26/2022 - 23:10

Maple Ridge first graders have been learning about apples and how they grow. Last week our first graders went on a field trip to Rowley's Red Barn. They had a presentation about the fruits they grow there and how they plant and harvest them. They also got to pick apples from the orchard (and eat them!) and play in the play area and get to know their animals at their petting zoo. The llama was the sweetest thing ever! Our Maple Ridge students learned a lot and had a great time!

Outside Math

Ms. Harward's third graders recently practiced addition skills outside, using chalk to show all of our work! We were split into groups and worked together to solve the problems. It was a nice way to get some fresh air while still growing our brains at the same time.
