Hands On Learning in Kindergarten

Submitted by becky.manning on

Recently, kindergarten students in Mrs. Cheever's class worked on positional words. They participated in an obstacle course going: under, over, above, below, around, in, out, and through obstacles. They then created a small obstacle course for a toy to practice the words. They could've worked on this all day!

Submitted by becky.manning on

Today some of the Maple Mountain High School football players came to Maple Ridge to visit with students and help out. Here are a few pictures of some of them helping the second grade students in Mrs. Berbert’s class learn how to play their indoor recess games. Thank you @mmhs_goldeneagles for sharing your students with us! @maplemountainathletes #mapleridgepride

Mrs. Jensen is one of our new fifth grade teachers this year. She has previously taught 4th, 5th, and 6th grades. Mrs. Jensen is originally from Vandrehoof, British Columbia, Canada and she attended BYU. Mrs. Jensen said, "I was born and raised on a large horse, cattle and hay ranch in British Columbia. My husband, Russell, and I raised our 5 children working and playing together on the ranch and in the beautiful outdoors of B.C. We love the outdoors and we love working and playing together so we moved to Utah to be close to our children and continue making memories."
