Nebo School District Keyboarding Competition

Submitted by becky.manning on
Maple Ridge fourth and fifth grade students completed a keyboarding unit this year and have been practicing their typing skills. Recently a few of our students participated in the Nebo School District Keyboarding Competition. They did an amazing job! Two of our students placed in the top ten of fourth graders in the Nebo School District. Nixon Merrell was 9th place and Chloe Emerick finished in 10th place. We are so proud of all our students who participated and grateful for all those involved in teaching our students this critical skill!

Nebo is Partnering with Tabitha’s Way

Submitted by becky.manning on
Nebo is partnering with Tabitha’s Way for a new event called Read & Feed.

The purpose of this event is to encourage children to continue to read during the summer and to educate families facing food insecurity regarding food resources available to them and their children while they are not attending school. Our goal is to gather 10,000 gently used books that children can take home with them and keep to read during the summer.

Mrs. Sandberg's "Murph Madness" Month

Submitted by becky.manning on

It was a marverlous day last Wednesday at Maple Ridge. One of our favorite teachers, Mrs. Sandberg, is retiring at the end of this year. All month long we've been celebrating "Murph Madness" and Mrs. Sandberg's class has enjoyed visitors from past coworkers and friends of Mrs. Sandberg. Wednesday's visitor was a big surprise--Cosmo! Mrs. Sandberg is Cosmo's number one fan and a loyal BYU enthusiast. Cosmo brought some swag for Mrs. Sandberg and did a couple of tricks for our third graders.
