Over the past two weeks Maple Ridge kindergartners have been learning all about how to be at school! They have been practicing following school rules, walking in the hallway, and eating in the lunchroom. To celebrate all they have learned, Mrs. Richardson's class read the story King of Kindergarten and decorated crowns to show they are kings and queens of kindergarten!

Ms. Hardy and Mrs. Ferrin's first graders recently went on a noun scavenger hunt throughout the school. They stopped to identify people, places, and things along the way.

Today in Mr. Lee's first grade class, students worked on identifying patterns and organizing numbers for a 100's chart. They were given puzzle pieces of random assorted number clusters to create a 100's chart in small groups. 

Today, in Mrs. Olson's 3rd grade, we began learning about the reading comprehension skill, drawing conclusions. Together we stepped into the role of detective and practiced drawing conclusions. We collected our information (clues) and used that information to draw a conclusion and successfully solve the case of the missing mascot!   

Our 5th graders have been  coming to lunch a few minutes early so they can be buddies with our kindergartners who are just learning the ropes in the lunchroom. Thank you 5th graders—you are truly Maple Ridge MVPs!
