Veterans Day

Submitted by becky.manning on

Maple Ridge second graders made their own paper poppies today to celebrate Veterans Day. They were also able to participate in a class moment of silence for two minutes as is tradition to do at 11:00 on November 11th. It was such a good and humbling day to talk about and honor our veterans.

Food Drive in Honor of Nate Carr

Submitted by becky.manning on

Maple Ridge Elementary held a food drive in honor of Nate Carr.  It was a tremendous success and the Carr family came and helped the 4th grade teachers transport the food to the Nebo Food Pantry.  It was a wonderful way to honor a man who served many. The food will help many students in Nebo School District. Thank you to all that donated.  #inhonorofnatedosomethinggreat

Ms. Jordan's Class Service Project

Submitted by becky.manning on

Ms. Jordan's class did a fun service project in October. They created bracelets and postcards for children that live in an orphanage in Peru. They were so excited to send them off and were so happy to serve others. The students in the orphanage loved the postcards and wouldn't take off the bracelets. We were also able to donate some candy, backpacks and classroom supplies!
