Our custodian, Mr. Swenson, will be retiring at the end of this school year. Mr. Swenson has done an amazing job keeping our school clean and looking like new! To celebrate him, we had a "Bon Voyage" party, pulled him around the school on a boat and stopped at different "ports" where the grade levels cheered, sang, showed off posters, etc. At the end, we were all treated to a live band, Rock Daddy, out on our playground. A big thank you to Mr. Swenson for all his hard work at Maple Ridge! We will miss you! Also a big thank you to Mr. and Mrs.
Congratulations to these Maple Ridge students for being our students of the month for March. They were recognized for showing empathy. We are proud of them! (Not pictured: Eion Hunt, Tyler Henderson, Everli Jones, Gracie Dunn, Talmage Deming, Dante Jones)
First graders in Mrs. Williams' class have been learning about fairy tales and fractured fairy tales. They practiced writing their own fractured fairy tales in groups with cards that gave them a character from an existing fairy tale along with a silly setting and problem. They then had to turn it into a fractured fairy tale story and shared them with their classmates.
