Sixth Grade Competes in ROV Competition

On Thursday, March 24th, sixth grade students competed in the state UUR (Utah Underwater Robotics) competition. Throughout the last several months, students have been learning to construct their vehicles, and learning about engineering in general. This challenge is based on a platform known as SeaPerch. UUR is a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematica) outreach program that teaches students how to construct an underwater remotely operated vehicle (ROV) from low cost components.

Fifth Grade Wax Museum

On Wednesday, March 16th, fifth grade students participated in the wax museum.  Each student chose an influential person throughout US history to learn about, and then came dressed as that character.  They also memorized a short monologue to share and visitors came through the classrooms.

It's time for Parent Teacher Conferences and Walking Report Cards.  Throughout this week our PTA Book Fair will also be open before and after school.  Many of our teachers have sent out the sign-up link via email, but here is another way to access available appointment times in order to meet busy schedules.  Thank you for making every effort to attend in order to see and discuss student progress as well as set goals for Term 4.
