This past week our Maple Ridge PTA put on our school carnival. The weather was beautiful, the food was delicious, the activities were fun, the volunteers were awesome and a great time was had by all! A huge thank you to our Maple Ridge PTA carnival committee, parent volunteers, teachers and staff, Mapleton Paramedics and Fire Department, local businesses, and so many others that supported our fundraiser. We are grateful for so many wonderful people who are interested in the success of our school and students!

Recently, students in Ms. Anderson's fifth grade class read a story about kids who went to space camp. They then were able to zoom with students at Utah State University who created a satellite that went to the International Space Station. They shared why they chose a path in STEM and the importance of collaboration, grit, and perseverance. 

This past week our Maple Ridge second graders have been getting into the fall spirit! They learned why leaves change color and wrote poems about fall using their five senses. They can't wait to see the air get colder and the leaves change color!

Students in Ms. Stokes' first grade class recently learned different ways to represent a number by playing a game with new friends! 

The school carnival is coming up next week! This is always a fun night for our Maple Ridge community and our only fundraiser for the year. See the flyer for details and we hope to see you next Thursday (Sept. 15, 2022) from 5:00-7:30.
