NOVA
Hooray for NOVA at Maple Ridge! Our sixth grade students enjoy having Officer Wolfgram come and spend time with them and teach them about the principles of NOVA: Nurturing Opportunities Values and Accountability. The program teaches students important thinking and decision making skills and teaches them lessons about media, harmful substances, internet safety, and more. It is also a chance for them to get to know and have positive interactions with a local police officer. We love NOVA!
Fifth Grade has a Virtual Visit with Lt. Governor, Spencer Cox
Lieutenant Governor Spencer Cox virtually visited Maple Ridge 5th graders on Tuesday. He spoke about the branches of government, the importance of voting, and his responsibilities as Lieutenant Governor. He ended by answering student questions about government. This was an awesome opportunity for our students and we are grateful that he was able to spend some time with them! #mapleridgepride
Picture Day September 30, 2020
Mark your calendars and get your smiles ready for Picture Day!
Students who are doing REMOTE learning and siblings are invited from 1:00-2:00pm. These are students who would normally be attending Maple Ridge Elementary who are doing remote learning or younger siblings who are not yet enrolled in school.
Visit mylifetouch.com to see available packages or to order using Picture Day ID: EVT2PTMJM
Patriots' Day
For Patriots' Day, Maple Ridge sixth graders tied a red string on their wrist or finger to remember to do a good deed or act of kindness during the day.
When To Keep A Student Home
This information was provided by our school nurse as a reference for parents when determining if a student should stay home. Thank you for helping keep all of our students (and staff) safe and healthy!
Minimal Day September 21, 2020
Our first Minimal Day (what I call a "super early out") is scheduled for Monday, September 21. On this day school will dismiss at noon. Please adjust schedules and make arrangements for students--preferably that they know about :). Lunch is still served at the elementary schools on this day.
For this first minimal day, AM kindergarten will attend. Because there is not an additional kindergarten bus route on this day, bus students will arrive and leave on the same bus. Consequently, bus students will be dismissed at noon on this day.
Labor Day Holiday Monday, September 7
We can't wait to see you again on Tuesday. Have a safe and relaxing 3 day weekend!
