Fifth graders at Maple Ridge Elementary were fortunate to participate in NOVA led by Officer Miller. NOVA is a Utah based program to help students in 5th grade with decision making. It is focused on core values , avoiding harmful substances, and being responsible with the choices they make. Students recently wrote essays about what they learned during NOVA and had their graduation on Nov. 15. We are so thankful for the Mapleton Police Department and Officer Miller!
Congratulations to these students for being our students of the month for October. They were recognized for being supportive. Well done students! We are proud of you! (Not pictured: Jocelyn Olson, Clara Barney, Karina Lamy, Thea Tatlow, Ledger Pace, Maverick Davis, Tyler Henderson)
In honor of Veterans Day, students in Ms. Jordan's second grade class shared about family members and friends who served in the military. They also wore poppy flowers to respect and honor those who died in war.
We are so excited to meet with you to talk about or show your student's progress for second term as well as make goals for continued improvement and success. Please select from the available times or contact your child's teacher via email to schedule during a different time. For walking report cards, please have your student attend as they will be demonstrating their grade level skills. For regular conferences, please make the best decision for your family regarding whether or not your student should be present.
