Kindergarten visited the corn maze for a super fun field trip! We loved learning about the Season of Fall, and farming and agriculture.
What a fun day we had! We enjoyed the annual Halloween parade and seeing all the students in their costumes. Thanks to all the parents who came and helped with parties and activities!
The Student Council went to a conference at Brigham Young University on October 10th. They learned about how to be good leaders and how they could help the students and teachers at the school. They also learned about why they are on the Student Council.
The kindergarten curriculum for this month includes learning about community. Our kindergarteners were able to tour a fire truck and an ambulance, thanks to our local heroes. They were given two assignments for homework. First, to create a safe meeting place outside their home in case of emergency. Second, is to learn their address if they ever are needed to call 911. We timed a fireman to see how fast he could get all his gear on and asked many fun questions. Thanks Mapleton Fire/EMS!
You are invited to come to our Maple Ridge Halloween Parade on Tuesday, October 31 at 9:30 am. Please find a spot outside the school to watch the parade and leave the sidewalks clear for students.
Thanks to our Maple Ridge PTA for planning a fun-filled week of activities to remind us about staying drug free and healthy during Red Ribbon Week!
Before Fall Break, Harward Farms brought a pumpkin for each of our Maple Ridge students and staff (that meant that they donated more than 850 pumpkins!). The students were so excited and loved their pumpkins. We are grateful for community partnerships like Harward Farms who support our school. A big thank you to them!
Mr Lockhart came and taught Mrs. Sanders’ 4th graders how to make solar eclipse viewers. They were excited to try them!
