Kindergarten Students Learn About Community Helpers

Submitted by becky.manning on

Maple Ridge kindergarteners have been learning about our community helpers. They got a visit from the Mapleton Fire Department and students learned about fire safety, what to do in an emergency and the fire fighters showed all their equipment and trucks. The Spanish Fork K-9 unit also came and talked to the students about safety and what they do to keep the community safe. Thank you Mapleton Fire Department and Spanish Fork Police Department!

Red Ribbon Week Visit from Speedy AND Awesome Red Ribbon Week Videos

Submitted by sara.matis on

Today maple Ridge students had a special visitor named Speedy for Red Ribbon Week! Speedy, a Belgian Malinois, is a retired police dog. His owner, Patrick, was a police officer and Speedy was his partner. They worked together to help track down drugs and keep people safe. Ask your student what they learned about Speedy today. A big thank you to our Maple Ridge PTA for arranging Patrick and Speedy's visit. We enjoyed having them in our school!
