Happy Halloween from the Maple Ridge faculty and staff!

As per the Maple Ridge Newsletter sent out by Mrs. Matis on October 11, our Halloween costume parade will be tomorrow (Oct. 29th) at 9:30 am sharp! We will parade outside this year around the school. Parents and family members are invited to watch from the grass or blacktop, keeping the sidewalks clear for students. We will also have a Facebook Live for parents who cannot come to the parade so be sure you are following Maple Ridge Elementary on Facebook if you aren't able to come to the school.

Maple Ridge kindergartners have been learning about community helpers and safety. Mapleton Fire Department and EMS came to visit with all of the kindergartners. They taught the students about fire, bike, and car safety and what to do in case of an emergency. They also taught about what firefighters do and how they use all their equipment. Thank you Mapleton Fire Department and EMS!

First graders at Maple Ridge have been learning the importance of sequencing by using the words first, then, next, and last. They have been working hard to make "How To" books this term that explain how to do something in a series of steps! Miss Stokes' class shared their published books with their classmates today and learned new things from their classmates' books!
