Last week, fifth grade students from Maple Ridge participated in the Hope of America program at the BYU Marriott Center. Over 8,000 5th grade students celebrate America’s freedom through song, chcoreography, and sign language.

Last week, fifh grade students from Maple Ridge participated in the 'Walk For Life' at the Sports Park in Spanish Fork. Students were able to connect with and learn from people who have served, or are currently serving in the military.
Mrs. Shumway, the school counselor, is making rounds this week to all the sixth grade classes. She is teaching the students what many feel is a tricky thing to figure out in junior high...how to open a locker! Students had the opportunity to practice on several different locks with different lock combinations to learn how it works.
On Tuesday, May 8th, Mrs. Bair's math students learned about the stock market. Paul Marshall, a parent of students here at Maple Ridge, took the time to come in and teach the students about the stock market. Students will be doing a math project where they will have to follow certain stocks, and decide if they have lost or earned money after a certain period of time.
Last week, kindergarten students at Maple Ridge were able to visit Hogle Zoo. The students enjoyed a day of sunshine, and had lunch in the park.
