Submitted by monica.bair on

Recently, the PTA recognized Melanie Adamson as Outstanding Educator for  Maple Ridge Elementary.  Mrs. Adamson works with the UEI students in the school.  She  does a great job with her group of students, and makes sure to give students throughout the school, the opportunity to come into her classroom, and help these students in whatever way they can.  Melanie has been credited with working behind the scenes to ensure the progress and development of her students.  Melanie is a pleasure to work with, and we feel fortunate to have her here at Maple Ridge!

Mrs. Manning-Outstanding Educator

Submitted by monica.bair on

Recently, Becky Manning, a third grade teacher at Maple Ridge Elementary, was chosen as the Outstanding Educator by the Springville/Mapleton PTA council.  According to many of Mrs. Manning's colleagues, she is an amazing teacher for many reasons.  Not only does she know her students well, but she does all she can to meet the needs of every individual student in her class.  Not only does she have a great rapport with parents and students, but she does with her coworkers as well.

Teacher Appreciation

Submitted by monica.bair on

Throughout the week of May 9-13, teachers at Maple Ridge were given the movie star treatment for appreciation week.  Every teacher had their own star in front of the office walkway, and the school was decked out in red carpets.  Throughout the week there were several activities to celebrate teachers.  One day, students wore their teacher's favorite color.  Another day, students had the opportunity to dress up like their teacher's favorite book/movie character.
