Wendy Simmons, our amazing secretary, was awarded the Classified Employee of the Year here at Maple Ridge.  You can't help but smile when you are around Wendy.  She is constantly happy, and will help anyone in any way she can.  Mrs. Simmons has had the difficult challenge of opening a new elementary school this year, but she has done it while making everyone's lives easier.  Kaylie Sanders, a student in the sixth grade, says, "Mrs. Simmons is just so kind and loving and is always there for others."

Wendy is also known for her creativity and talent in making pretty much just about anything, from remodeling furniture, to making jewelry.  Her talents never cease.  We are so fortunate as faculty, staff and students to have Mrs. Simmons at our school.
