Today is National Principals’ Day and our principal is one of the VERY BEST! Mrs. Matis makes coming to school “easy-peasy lemon-squeezy.” She loves the students and teachers & staff and does everything she can to help them be successful. She makes Maple Ridge a great place to be. We are definitely in good hands at Maple Ridge! Thank you Mrs. Matis!
 

Ms. Harward’s class was able to go walk through Mrs. Cheever’s art museum with her students and it was so fun! We were all very impressed to see all the amazing work. It was especially great for the students in our class who have younger siblings or neighbors that they got to see and talk to!
 

Mrs. Cheever's kindergarten class recently held an art museum for parents and students. The kindergarteners had their art posted and were able to talk to those who came through about their art work. They answered questions about what inspired them to create the art, how they created it, and what they liked about it. We are very proud of these kindergarteners and their hard work and we loved seeing their creativity!

Mrs. Olson’s 4th graders are learning about the economy of Utah and did some cookie mining in Social Studies. The students earned class money for every chocolate chip mined and were able to purchase better equipment (paper clip) or additional cookies. We love Social Studies!
 

Maple Ridge 4th graders recently participated in an essay contest for the Sons of Utah Pioneers organization. Congratulations to these students: 1st place-Laurel Stephenson, 2nd place-Graham Riding, 3rd place-Niels Rowland.

This past week we celebrated our amazing secretaries—Mrs. Simmons and Mrs. Gatley. We are so grateful for them and all they do for us each day. They truly are the heart of our school and Maple Ridge would not be the same without them! We love you ladies!

Several of our Maple Ridge 4th and 5th grade students recently participated in a keyboarding competition to show off their typing skills! Congratulations to Piper Price and Troy white for being the top keyboarding students at Maple Ridge.

Students in Mrs. Southam's 2nd grade class have been learning about shapes through movement and art. 

Our Maple Ridge PTA really spoiled us this week with cute door decorations, breakfast, lunches, drinks, treats, etc. It was such a fun week and we truly felt the love. Thank you to all our parent volunteers. We know so many people put forth a lot of work and effort during Teacher Appreciation Week. We are grateful for all who made it so enjoyable. THANK YOU! 

Mrs. Porter’s third grade class has been learning all about weather. They loved researching seasonal weather patterns.
