On Friday, May 20th, Governor Gary Herbert along with Dave Elkington, CEO and founder of Inside Sales and representatives from Domo and Qualtric, visited Maple Ridge Elementary.  Inside Sales, in partnership with Governor Herbert, has advocated for more computer science education in the classroom.  Throughout this school year, representatives from Inside Sales have come every Friday to teach students about coding.  Students have learned basic principles of coding and how to create their own algorithms.

Governor Herbert took the opportunity to visit some of the fifth grade classrooms during a coding lesson to see what students have been able to accomplish throughout the year.

The faculty and staff are grateful for the hundreds of service hours that have been provided to our school to help students learn about coding.
