Last week kindergarten had a fun Friday! Some classes brought their stuffed animals to school for their “PJ & Stuffie Day” class party, and some classes had a “Teddy Bear Picnic”.  It’s always a great day when you get to bring a special friend with you to kindergarten!

All of our Maple Ridge fourth graders had a great field trip to the State Capitol Building in Salt Lake.

Mrs. Mathews’ class was lucky to have Senator Hinkins take them behind the scenes and show them places that general public doesn’t get to see.

Representative Stephen Whyte took time out if his busy schedule to give Mrs. Sanders’  and Mrs. Olson's class a tour. They got the rare privilege of going into the house floor of the Capitol.

Our Maple Ridge fifth grade students had the opportunity to attend the Freedom Walk field trip along with other fifth graders in the Spanish Fork area. This field trip is presented by the American Legion and the students learned about patriotism from our local veterans.

All of our 3rd grade students participated in an Arbor Day celebration at Harvest Park. We learned about Arbor Day and helped to plant a new tree. When you are at the park, make sure to see the new tree. It is in the northwest corner of the park. 

Mrs. Steen's fifth graders made anchor charts for all the math concepts they have learned this year. When they completed them, they presented their charts to the class as a final review before end of year testing.

Third graders in Mrs. Rasmussen's class recently learned about shapes, their attributes, polygons and angles during math.  Here are a few pictures of her class drawing their shapes and angles on the playground! Her students love geometry!

Today is National Principals’ Day and our principal is one of the VERY BEST! Mrs. Matis makes coming to school “easy-peasy lemon-squeezy.” She loves the students and teachers & staff and does everything she can to help them be successful. She makes Maple Ridge a great place to be. We are definitely in good hands at Maple Ridge! Thank you Mrs. Matis!
