Sixth Graders Prepare for Junior High

Mrs. Shumway, the school counselor, is making rounds this week to all the sixth grade classes.  She is teaching the students what many feel is a tricky thing to figure out in junior to open a locker!  Students had the opportunity to practice on  several different locks with different lock combinations to learn how it works.

Sixth Graders Learn About Stock Market

On Tuesday, May 8th, Mrs. Bair's math students learned about the stock market.  Paul Marshall, a parent of students here at Maple Ridge, took the time to come in and teach the students about the stock market.  Students will be doing a math project where they will have to follow certain stocks, and decide if they have lost or earned money after a certain period of time.

Students of the Month

The trait of  "Integrity" was the focus for the students at Maple Ridge through the month of April.  Students who demonstrated this, were selected as students of the month.  

4th Grade Track

On Tuesday, May 1st, fourth grade students had the opportunity to participate in the Mapleton Track Meet.  Students had the choice of events in which to participate, from running, to long jump to the softball throw.  In between events, they enjoyed the opportunity to cheer on their classmates.
